Supplier Quality
Supplier Quality Management evaluates the performance of the major Belgacom Group Suppliers on a regular base.
Main objective performance criteria are :
-
technical performance metrics, about product/service quality and reliability
-
delivery compliance measures :
-
Compliance with delivery requirements
-
On Time delivery
-
Invoice accuracy
-
-
CSR Performance (Corporate Social Responsability)
The corresponding performance scores (when applicable) are published and accessible on Belgacom's E-sourcing platform (for Suppliers via their unique login and password).
Note : the provided scores concern an assessment of some performance areas under all signed contracts and are published for information in a confidential manner; they do not modify parties' rights and obligations specified in the contracts.
In addition, subjective input on Supplier Performance is gathered via a Supplier Evaluation Survey, to be completed internally within the Belgacom Group.
For further information about Supplier Evaluation,
you may send an e-Mail to Supplier Quality Management.
Belgacom is a member of the QuEST Forum (Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications).
The QuEST Forum created the TL 9000 Quality Management System to meet the quality requirements of the worldwide telecommunications industry :
-
TL 9000 defines quality system requirements for the design, development, production, delivery, installation and maintenance of telecom products and services;
-
TL 9000 provides a measurement system that, when implemented, allows companies to track performance and improve results. Find out more on the QuEST Forum and TL 9000 on www.questforum.org
Belgacom supports the philosophy that suppliers are accountable for the quality and reliability of the products and services supplied to Belgacom. They should be able to demonstrate their philosophy, organisation and processes to produce quality products and services and to continually improve their performance.
The Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team believes that the implementation of TL 9000 by telecom suppliers is strongly supporting this philosophy and process management and will therefore require TL 9000 certification from its main telecom suppliers. SQM gives first priority to suppliers whose performance impacts the quality and reliability of the Belgacom network and business sensitively.
