BiLAN™ Access Services

Different techniques for the physical connection of sites
Do you want to link your PC, LAN or company site? BiLAN™ Access Services can deal with your needs, whatever the connection speed you want.

With an always-on data link, you can connect to your company's intranet 24 hours a day. We will guide you towards BiLAN™ Leased Lines, the BiLAN™ DSL solution or the ISDN Data (D) channel, depending on the type of service you want.
With dial-up access, you can connect whenever you want.
Any users who travel can connect themselves using GPRS (General Package Radio Service) technology.

BiLAN™ ADSL
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) means that the downstream data transmission speed (max. 1 Mbps) is higher than the upstream speed (max. 128 Kbps). ADSL is the ideal solution for any of your sites which primarily receive information from a central site.
For access to your virtual private network, Belgacom also proposes a teleworking solution based on ADSL technology.

BiLAN™ SDSL
The Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL) solution is similar to ADSL, but has the advantage of identical downstream and upstream data transmission speeds. SDSL also offer higher maximum transmission speeds of up to 2 Mbps and minimum guaranteed speeds of 256 or 512 Kbps.

Both DSL-based access and the Leased-Lines solution can be easily adapted to your needs. Since we monitor the performance of your network solution, we can assist you and recommend changes or upgrades.

BiLAN™ Dial-up
To increase your company's productivity, you want to offer a dial-up access solution to your sales staff, outside technicials, teleworkers or remote sites which need to connect at certain times in the day.
GPRS
You can obtain completely secure access to your company's intranet using a GPRS-compatible GSM or PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). You can send and receive information via the BiLAN network from anywhere in Belgium. For example, you can immediately provide information on prices, stocks, etc., to any existing or potential customer on request.
You have an always-on connection to the network but you are only billed for data actually sent.
